There isn't enough "bling" in Guild Wars for 50 Cent, he plays GTA San Andreas.

Seems like no one who plays guild wars likes rap or hip hop. Don't get me wrong I hate it too and despise rappers like fitty but its interesting how this game caters to only a certain demographic.

I honestly do not hate rap or hip hop, however, I do hate rappers who act like some "big thang" for some image of "gangsta" criminality that they like to entice impressionable kids with to boost record sales.
They shoot someone? $5mil record deal.
They get shot? $10mil record deal.
They do time for gunfighting? $15mil record deal.

I agree. It's unfortunate how black rappers and artists, for the most part, flaunt such a negative "gangsta" image. Its denegrating to the black community and perpetuates negative stereotypes. And then a new generation of black children thinks its cool to act like "gangstas." We need better role models.

Yes, but my point remains: "gangstas" are a bad role model for children of any background, whether they're black or white. It's just that black artists dont practice a variety of music styles. African-American children have no alternative black music artists to turn to besides rappers and hip hop artists. I don't recall ever seeing a band with an African-American lead vocalist. (Lenny Kravitz does not count).

Dunno, my musical knowledge is pretty much limited to extreme metal. However I do agree with you that "gang culture" is stupid, especially when used as a marketting gimmick.
Some would say metal is just as bad, if not worse, but I don't remember the last time a metal band wrote an album about how they shot up some cops and got sent to jail for five years and are now the most hardcore thing ever.

.... that is a lot of money, not that that makes it alright but still. when you have that much sitting in front of you it is hard to turn it down just to have a non "gansta" image
